Moving On

February, getting ready to depart,

decides to take it all along,

wraps my lawn complete with dormant roses, herbs and border stones

in styrofoam fluffs of soft deep snow,

encases those cushions in shrink-wrapped ice skins.

All packed–ready to go.

Why, we could move to another galaxy

and not even crack a flowerpot.
