Are We in Orbit?

Are you always on the move
Trying your life to improve
Do we go round and round
Saying things that sound profound?

What is the outcome we strive for?
Do we reach for the stars afar?
Do we flounder in the muddy grime?

Do we help those who in orbit fall?
Do we really care for all?
Do we help them rise and grow
Or is it just ourselves we only know?

Do we listen to all who are near
And give them our ear?
Do we absorb all
Or is it too hard a call?

I feel we are all in orbit everywhere
But we must stop and help and care
As life’s journey may be all we have
To show to all we truly love.
